The Vestibule is a well-lit, hall-like room on the Ground Floor of the extension to the Museum added in 2000 with generous funding from the Hans-Otto und Engelke Schümann-Stiftung. The wide glass front gives a view of the inner quadrangle with its tall gingko trees. The 200 square metres of floor space can be extended to about 360 square metres by incorporating the adjacent gallery and part of the room housing the collection of historical keyboard instruments . The premises are suitable for lectures, buffets, receptions, presentations, fashion shows and conferences. The Vestibule also has a large projector screen available with projection equipment for DVD, video, PC and slides.
