NEO Collections. User-centered. Explorative. Open.

Digital Museum Collections in the 21st Century

NEO Collections
is a joint project of the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, Übersee-Museum Bremen and Nationalmuseum Sweden. It is funded by the Digital Culture Program of the German Federal Cultural Foundation until the end of 2023.

Based on the principles of open access and participation, the four-year project NEO Collections seeks new ways of working with museum collections – online and on-site in the museum.

Together with visitors and users, prototypes and digital products are being developed that simplify access to the collections and enable their reuse.
